Dr. Felicia Dickson Pierre, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Dickson Pierre is Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and has more than 20 years of clinical  experience and training including a multi-year surgical residency in the lower extremity.  Dr. Dickson Pierre who is originally from Stamford, Connecticut received her B.A. in Biology from Temple University. She earned her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in 1996, from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating with honors as the class Salutatorian.

Dr. Dickson Pierre went on to complete her Podiatric Surgical Residency at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut and is Board Certified in Foot Surgery[August 2011 to present] and Wound Care. 

​

Dr. Dickson Pierre has been in private surgical practice since 1998 when she relocated to the Atlanta area after completing her residency.  She was previously a Senior Partner with Village Podiatry Centers for more than 17 years.  She transitioned from Village Podiatry to join Georgia Podiatry Group in the Fall of 2015, and while she wishes both groups continued prosperity she had the desire to venture out on her own.  Optimum Foot and Ankle Centers, LLC is the fruit of her labors created to provide "Premier Foot and Ankle Care" to the Stone Mountain/Lilburn area and surrounding communities.  Dr. Pierre was raised to always give back and so she volunteers at the "Physicians Free Clinic" located in Dekalb County. 

 

Her special interests include Forefoot and Reconstructive Surgery, Diabetic Limb Salvage, and Wound Care.  Dr. Dickson Pierre is a Surgical instructor for the Podiatric Residents at the Atlanta Center for Foot and Ankle Surgery, The Atlanta VA, as well as Dekalb Medical Center, now Emory Decatur Hospital.

Dr. Dickson Pierre is also a 30+ year Silver Star Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, of which she is a active participant and has served in several leadership roles.  She is currently a member in the Lambda Epsilon Omega Chapter which is located in Dekalb County.  Her hobbies include travel, reading, crafting,  volunteer work, exercise, spending time with family, and maintaining a relationship with God.

One of her favorite quotes is: “I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”  by Maya Angelou.  Dr. Dickson Pierre's goal is to make all of her patients feel better and to help restore them to a quality of life that they deserve.
